Boco Employee Unity Code of Conduct
We, the ORGANIZING COMMITTEE OF BOULDER COUNTY EMPLOYEES UNION, ask our supporters and other pro-union or union-curious Boulder County employees to follow this pro-unity code of conduct as the employees of Boulder County decide whether or not to organize collectively into a union – and which union organization we will be joining.
Positive pro-union messages: We will focus on the positive changes we can make together when we unionize.
Bridging across differences: we may not agree on which union we want to join but many can agree that we want to form a union which is a strong, effective and democratic voice of its members. We will build unity on that basis so that we maintain good relationships and build new ones through this process of choosing how we want to represent ourselves through collective bargaining.
Transparency, communication, and trust: we will endeavor to speak clearly and factually from our own personal experience and avoid spreading misinformation which can confuse and separate people.
